The Video-Forum was founded in 1972 as a meeting place for video artists and those members of the public with an interest in what was then a new medium. The establishment of a video art tape collection from international standpoints was one of the institution`s principal tasks from the start. At present, the collection numbers around 500 titles from the early beginnings of video art to the present day, and it is open to the public free of charge during the opening times listed. A catalogue offers information concerning the artists and tapes.
