- Sanborn writes, "Persephone" is a 'videopoem' which uses the myth of Persephone as its point of departure. Based on a poem by Sarah Cahill, this abstract interpretation of the myth draws imagery from the recent Oakland hills firestorm, and from numerous 'metaphoric' set-pieces which use found footage, miniatures, and computer graphics to tell the erotic tale of a woman's capture and immersion into a world of fire and the unknown."
