FAR FAR AWAY tells the story of Dorethea, who is called Dorothy and who lives a solitary life with her beloved dog Toto in Sasnak. Turned on by the world of American children's television, which floods into her room every day, she attempts to escape into this land beyond the rainbow with the help of a little radio-telephone.Via the transmission of her voice, she manages to create a virtual telebody with whom she can communicate. With increasing effect, her other half starts to free itself from her, reproduces and disappears through a storm into the world of American TV news. Here, she quickly makes new friends and Dorothyises the complete airways. After a short visit to the moon she arrives in Kingdom of the Waves where no other pictures exist besides her own, in multiple, narcissistic form.Using the argument, there's no place like home, the real Dorothy's increased attempts to recapture and bring back her telebody fail outright.The telecommunication's fairy tale, FAR FAR AWAY, alludes to the film, THE WIZARD OF OZ, (USA 1939), applying fragments of speech from the original version and from the synchronised voice in the German version.

WEIT WEIT WEG erzählt die Geschichte von Dorothea, die Dorothy heißt und vereinsamt mit ihrem geliebten Hund Toto daheim in Sasnak lebt. Angeregt von den amerikanischen Kinderfernsehwelten, die täglich zu ihr ins Zimmer strömen, versucht sie mit Hilfe eines kleinen Funktelefons in dieses Land hinter dem Regenbogen zu entfliehen.Durch die Entsendung ihrer Stimme schafft sie im fernen Amerika einen zeitgleichen Telekörper, mit dem sie kommunizieren kann. Zunehmend löst sich jedoch diese zweite Hälfte von ihr ab, vervielfältigt sich und entschwindet durch einen Sturm in die Welt der amerikanischen TV-News, wo sie schnell neue Freunde findet und den gesamten Äther dorothysiert. Nach einem kurzen Besuch auf dem Mond gelangt sie in das Reich der Wellen, wo es keine an-deren Bilder mehr gibt außer ihrem eigenen, in vielfacher, selbstverliebter Ausfertigung.Die zahlreichen Versuche der wirklichen Dorothy, ihren Telekörper mit dem Argument Es ist nirgends besser als daheim wieder einzufangen und zurückzuholen, scheitern.Das Telekommunikationsmärchen WEIT WEIT WEG bezieht sich auf den Film THE WIZARD OF OZ (USA 1939) unter Verwendung von Sprachfragmenten der Original- und deutschen Synchron--Stimme.
