- Am bekanntesten wurde William Wegman mit den Porträts seiner Weimaraner-Hunde. In den Siebzigern drehte er eine Reihe von Performance-Videos, deren Hauptrolle er mit seinem Hund Man Ray besetzte. Diese lustigen Anekdoten sind nach wie vor Klassiker der Videokunst. In 'Spelling Lesson' korrigiert Wegman einen Buchstabiertest von Man Ray.
